It's with our hearts full of joy and pride that we come for the second year bringing all the happiness in samba to Brighton Pride!
It's a great honour to take part in this wonderful celebration of equality and diversity. We stand together! We delivered the Love Carnival!
What a wonderful time we had! A beautiful day with friends and family and our samba family being welcomed by over 300,000 people on the streets.
There are so many people from our own School and from the community that made it all happen that we wouldn't be able to mention everyone but let us start by thanking our sponsors, A New You, EweMove and Hartley Fowler, without them we wouldn't be able to make it all happen for our community this year. Also thank you to Hayes Hygiene for the second year helping us with all logistics and transport. They are just incredible!
Well done to everyone in our management team that worked hard to deliver another carnival! Well done to our Mestre Sala Arian and parading for the first time as our Porta Bandeira Tara. You both made the School really proud by presenting our flag so beautifully!
Well done to our stunning Rainha de Bateria Carla and Nico for leading our bateria during the whole parade with so much energy! Well done bateria you were just the best!
Thank you to our singer Fernanda and Guilherme on Cavaquinho for holding on with us for 4 hours! To all our LSS friends for supporting us and for being so awesome! Thank you to our destaque, to everyone that worked on our beautiful costumes and our make up artist Melissa! Thank you to our school directors for all the time dedicated to our samba family!
To all our dancers, ala Iracema, our bahianas, destaques and a massive thank you to all our amazing volunteers! We can’t thank you enough for the kindness, the smiles and for how well they looked after us! They kept us hydrated and provided a lot of energy for us all to keep going with the show!
Huge thanks also go to Neil and Gilly for hosting the Beleza after-party in their beautiful house, it was another great afternoon and we all appreciated such a warm welcome with delicious food and lots of drinks!
We feel so lucky and extremely honoured to bring so many incredible people together for a celebration that is nothing less than LOVE!
We will have a well deserved break but we will be back with all our energy in September and we will be looking forward to seeing everyone next year for a bigger and better parade with this amazing school called GRES Beleza School of Samba!
