Please read through this carefully. This protocol is based on COVID-19 guidance from GOV.UK release of Sep 22nd 2020 and it will be updated as we progress following UK government guidance.
Beleza School of Samba will be able to return from Aug 2020 to rehearsals and classes. All teachers and students will have to follow this protocol to make sure we do all that’s required to guarantee everyone’s safety during the pandemic by following the guidelines from the UK government.
TO ALL
CLASS SIZES:
Based on the size of the studio we will have no more than 15 students per session. Premium Members will have the first choice, then Members will be able to book online. Non-members can drop in with availibility but their details will need to be captured manually.
CLEANING:
The studio will be cleaned and sanitized every day, however we will allow 5-10 minutes minimum at the end of each class to wipe the following
Areas: Ballet Barres, Light switches, Toilet flushes. Taps. Sound system & amp; lead. Door and window handles.
PERSONAL HYGIENE:
ALL students wash or sanitize their hands before class and then after class. There are now hands free sanitizers on entering the building, at the top of the stairs and also in the back room.
There are hands free soap dispensers in both toilets.
To reduce contact, please DO NOT touch the mirrors.
Please bring your own small towel in order to wipe sweat and dry themselves during /after class.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
We will be trying to mark the studio in chalk to offer some spacing guidelines, but we will keep 2 meters space between each student.
Use of masks is optional
AIR FLOW:
Unless it is too cold to do so, please open windows and doors to allow air flow during the classes.
It’s also advisable to put the extractor fan on as the students start to sweat as it takes away the stale air and allows fresh air to enter the building.
MEMBERS BOOKINGS AND DETAILS:
Beleza School of Samba has to record each session attendance and have contact details available in case we must reach out to our members. This has to be tracked through our new booking system. Guidance of booking system can be found at the "Plans and Classes" menu in our website.
We cannot accept any form of payment in cash or cheque.
Until further notice, guests watching rehearsals or children will not be allowed in the studio for their own safety.
BATERIA:
We recommend all members to bring their own instrument if they have one.
All instruments will be cleaned/disinfected ready to be used in class
Students are not allowed to share or swap instruments. It must be one instrument per person for a whole session.
All Beleza instruments will have to be cleaned/disinfected at the end of each session before placed into the storage where they will stay for 7-15 days until the next session.
Do not use this cleaning time allowance to over run class.
If you’d like to chat with other students, you need to do it outside the building.
Please leave the building quickly, by allowing a 5-10 minutes window in between classes, so one group has exited the building before the next class arrives.
DANCE:
Please arrive in dance wear where possible and no more than 5 minutes before the class. The back room needs to stay as clear from groups as possible.
